Join us in Stanley for a hands-on Saw Training Workshop, where volunteers will learn essential skills for safe and effective trail clearing. Whether you’re new to saw work or looking to sharpen your skills, this training will help prepare you for the season ahead.

Join us for a weekend of trail maintenance along the scenic Lower Hell Roaring Trail. This day hike project is beginner-friendly and a great entry point for new volunteers. No overnight gear needed—just bring your day pack, lunch, and willingness to pitch in.

Join the Pulaski Users Group for a multi-day trail clearing adventure along the Middle Fork Boise River! This car camping trip is the perfect opportunity to give back to the trails while enjoying the great outdoors. We’ll be clearing brush, removing obstacles, and making sure these trails stay open and accessible for everyone.

🔹 What to Bring: Your own camping gear, hiking gear, and food
🔹 Experience Level: All skill levels welcome!
Spend your days working hard and your evenings around the campfire with like-minded volunteers. Whether you join for a day or stay for the full trip, your help makes a difference!

Middle Fork Boise River #2 (backpacking)
Middle Fork Boise River #2 – Backpack to Mattingly Creek
📅 Dates: June 25–29, 2025
📍 Location: Power Plant Trailhead, Atlanta, ID
This trip is for experienced backpackers ready to spend several days deep in the backcountry. Volunteers will hike 5 miles with tools and food to a remote base camp near Mattingly Creek and work on advanced trail sections.

🔹 Travel: High-clearance vehicles recommended
🔹 Distance: 5-mile backpack with elevation gain of +1,200’
🔹 Experience Level: Advanced

🔹 Tasks: Sawing logs, brushing, trail drainage
🔹 Saw Certification Training: Ongoing during the trip for interested volunteers

Middle Fork Boise River #3 (backpack, camp @ 8.5 mile site)
Middle Fork Boise River #3 – Backpack to 8.5-Mile Camp
📅 Dates: July 2–6, 2025
📍 Location: Power Plant Trailhead, Atlanta, ID
A great option for volunteers with moderate experience. We’ll backpack to a remote site at mile 8.5, where tools and equipment will be cached in advance to lighten the load.

Our most remote project of the season. Volunteers hike 10 miles with only a day pack while pack stock hauls tools, food, and gear to our high-country camp near Flytrip Creek.

This advanced-level trip leads to a beautiful, high-elevation lake with steep trail conditions. Volunteers will carry their own food and gear along with tools and safety equipment.

Hell Roaring Trail Work Party w/ Sawtooth Brewery

When: Sunday, June 18th - 10am -3pm
Where: Meet at the Lower Hell Roaring Trailhead (44°01'31.9"N 114°50'31.1"W)
Difficulty: Easy - Moderate. Open to all ages and abilities.
Project Description: We will spend the day maintaining the Hell Roaring Trail from the lower parking lot. Work will include: sawing logs that have fallen across the trail, clearing drains, and trimming back overgrown brush. Please wear long plants, comfortable hiking shoes, and bring plenty of layers, water, and a lunch!
Stay the whole day and enjoy some tasty beverages provided by Sawtooth Brewery 🍻!
